Phil Collins: I don't like music
The legendary former Genesis drummer Phil Collins has made the astonishing revelation that he doesn't like music.
Speaking at the Mojo Awards, he said: "I don’t really listen to music. My youngest daughter, Lily, she’ll play me stuff and I’ll say, 'Wow, that’s great, who's that?' But, really, no."
It seems to be a defining moment in the star's life as he announced earlier this year that he was retiring from music to spend more time with his family.
Writing on his website, he said: "I am stopping so I can be a full-time father to my two young sons on a daily basis."
The other reason for stepping back from music has been health-related. The star has been suffering with nerve damage, hearing problems and back ache.
It marks the end of an amazing 40-year career as a musician.
Collins, who went on to be a successful solo artist, may be considering moving into acting.
His first proper acting role came in 1988 when he starred in the comedy-drama Buster about the Great Train Robbery in the 1960s.
