Peavey announces launch of Vypyr range
The company will be bringing the products to this year's MIRC to be used participants in the Battle of the Bands competition and the company has described the event as being a "great opportunity" to meet with retailers it normally does not communicate with.
MI Pro reported that the Vypyr modelling amps are fitted with Variable Instrument Performance (VIP) and are the world's first to accommodate bass guitar, acoustic guitar and electric guitar models.
This new function allows this variety of instrument types to access the multitude of tones and sounds that are prevalent with the amps.
Peavey confirmed that the Vypyr will be available in three combos, the 20-Watt VIP 1, the 40-Watt VIP 2 and the 100-Watt VIP 3 complete with the PowerSponge variable power allowing guitarists to alter the sound to their surroundings.
Rob Kerr, sales manager, told the source: "Last year we found MIRC was a great opportunity to meet retailers we don't currently deal with, but this year we are most excited about showing some of our exciting and innovative products such as Vypyr VIP and the new HiSys range."
This year's MIRC takes place at Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire on June 26th, dealers and Battle of the Bands contestants can apply through the event's website.
