Peavey Reveal 6505 Piranha Amplifier Head
The 6505 is one of the stalwarts of the high gain amplifier scene and has been arguably one of Peavey's most popular amplifiers ever. And with the current market trend in making small yet powerful amplifiers it is no surprise that Peavey introduced the 6505 Piranha micro head.
Peavey do already have the 6505 Mini Head available but they have gone even smaller. The Piranha weighs just 1.5kg (packed), has a diameter of just 8.5" and delivers up to 20-watts of power.
Whilst the power amp is solid state, it does feature a single 12AX7 preamp tube and still manages to retain that unmistakable high gain saturated sound, which guitarists have come to know and love.
Other features include a 16 ohm speaker output, aux input, headphone socket, two channels (lead and crunch, and a tooled metal cabinet.
