Peavey Amp picks up industry award
Posted on 3 Feb 2010 11:09 to category : Music News

The Peavey IPR 1600 Power Amp has been awarded a prize by an industry magazine in recognition of its revolutionary technology.
It picked up the Best New Power Amp Award at the Music & Sound Awards, the 24th annual event presented by the Music & Sound Retailer.
Hartley Peavey, founder and chief executive officer of Peavey Electronics Corporation, said he was delighted the amp had received recognition from the industry.
He stated that the IPR technology, which allows guitar amps to be both lighter and more powerful, was an exciting development for music.
"Due to its efficiency we can pair this technology with our loudspeakers and drivers to give consumers unprecedented power, light weight and reliability in powered enclosures," he stated.
This year's award ceremony also saw another Peavey amp, the VYPYR series, named as Music & Sound's product of the year for the second time in a row.
