Paul Weller reveals he improvised lyrics for new album
Posted on 14 Apr 2010 15:58 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Electric guitar player Paul Weller has revealed he adopted a new way of working for his latest album improvising the lyrics over the top of backing tracks when he was in the studio.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, the former frontman of The Jam revealed that it was the first time he had gone about recording music in such a way, but he was pleased to try something new.
"I didn't really sit down with a guitar and try to work them out," he explained, adding that he would instead spend a couple of weeks listening to each backing track.
"It's nice after all these years to think there's still a method of working which you haven't done before."
The results can be heard by fans very soon as his new record, Wake Up The Nation, is set to be released next Monday (April 19th 2010).
Weller is set to play an arena tour in support of the album later this year, with dates planned in cities including Cardiff, Glasgow and London.
