Paul Weller joined by Bruce Foxton at Royal Albert Hall gig
Former Jam bandmates Paul Weller and Bruce Foxton have played a live show together for the first time in almost three decades.
Bass guitar player Foxton joined Weller on stage at the Royal Albert Hall yesterday (May 25th 2010), where The Jam's former frontman is in the middle of a five-night residency.
The pair played together on three songs - a rendition of Fast Car/Slow Traffic from Weller's latest album Wake Up The Nation was followed by Jam classics The Eton Rifles and The Butterfly Collector, reports NME.
"It's been a while hasn't it?," Foxton told the crowd. "28 years, I think. Thank you for the wonderful reception!"
He was given a standing ovation by the crowd as he left the stage and Weller continued with the show.
Last month, Weller was joined onstage by another surprise guest at one of his gigs - Noel Gallagher.
The former Oasis star played two tracks with Weller at a show in the Relentless Garage venue in London.Posted on 26 May 2010 18:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News
