Paul Weller announces arena tour
Electric guitar legend Paul Weller has announced the dates and venues for an upcoming UK tour.
The former Jam frontman will be showcasing songs from his new album, Wake Up The Nation, at the shows.
Brighton will play host to Weller's first gig of the tour on November 23rd 2010, with other shows set to take place in arenas in Cardiff, Sheffield, Manchester and Glasgow.
The electric guitar player is also set to appear in Aberdeen, Blackpool and Liverpool, before the tour comes to a close at Wembley Arena in London on December 10th.
Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday (March 26th), while Wake Up The Nation is to be released on April 19th.
Earlier this year, Weller was honoured at the NME Awards, in a ceremony which saw the guitar player named as the recipient of the Godlike Genius prize.
Krissi Murison, editor of the NME, said it was a richly deserved award for a musician who first appeared on the cover of her magazine in 1977.Posted on 23 Mar 2010 12:35 to category : Band / Celebrity News
