Paul Weller: Being in a band can change your life
Posted on 15 Jun 2010 11:53 to category : Instruments News

Legendary electric guitar player Paul Weller has urged young people to pick up musical instruments and join a band.
Speaking to the News of the World, the former Jam frontman described being in a group as a fine and noble calling.
"It's not only entertaining - you get to impart knowledge, ideas and attitudes if you want," the star said.
"Music changed my world - it made me realise that I didn't have to work in a factory."
Weller added that he is disappointed with the current music scene - which he believes is scared of experimentation - and called for the next generation of stars to step up.
The star is to tour the UK later this year in support of his new album, Wake Up The Nation, which was released to critical acclaim in April.
He will play arena shows in cities including Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow in late November and early December.
