Paul McCartney announces intimate Christmas gigs
Beatles legend Paul McCartney is to play two intimate shows in London and Liverpool in the run-up to Christmas. The bass guitar player is set to appear at the Hammersmith Apollo on December 18th, following that performance up with a homecoming gig at the O2 Academy in Liverpool two days later.
McCartney said he was thrilled the gigs are taking place and described the shows as the perfect way to bring 2010 to a close. He went on to express his love for playing in front of British audiences, noting that he is especially looking to playing during the festive season.
It has been a busy year for the star up to date, with his world tour taking him across the US, Canada and South America, as well as the UK.
He has also recently picked up the Kennedy Center Honours medallion at The White House in recognition of his contribution to the performing arts over the course of his career.
