Paolo Nutini lends support to new music academy
Posted on 6 Jul 2010 20:30 to category : Instruments News

Guitar player Paolo Nutini has voiced his support for a new music academy in Scotland.
The solo star turned up to play an intimate show at the opening of the Glee Club at White's Academy of Music, which is jointly run by one of his old schoolfriends.
Nutini gave musical tips to the youngsters who attended, while the children were also given the opportunity to perform backing vocals on a special rendition of his hit Pencil Full of Lead.
The musician told the Daily Record that it was great to see children being passionate about music.
"I'm all for anybody encouraging kids to come in and pick up a guitar, sit at a piano [and] sing songs rather than go out and buy their first bottle of whatever," he explained.
Nutini has a busy summer ahead of him, with dates for the guitar player including shows at T in the Park, Oxegen and V Festival.
