Novation Launch Peak, An Eight Voice Polyphonic Synthesizer
The synth is also fitted with the capability of becoming a linear FM source by using the analogue-sounding NCO's or digital wave table. With this innovative feature you can cross modulate in a recursive loop, providing you with free reign as to how you want to make and then suitably alter your sound. An on-board arpeggiator, reverb, delay and chorus effect further enhance your potential for tone manipulation and give you even more avenues to direct your creative bearing.
The Peak synth features a resonant multi-mode analogue filter for each voice and a further three distortion points (pre-filter moist-filter and global), providing you with unprecedented tone parameters for an already incredible sounding polyphonic synthesizer. Due to its analogue signal chain, Peak is able to enact the intuitive polyphonic after-touch feature which puts the power of expression right in the palm of your hand.
The modulation system featured on Novation's Peak houses a 16-slot modulation matrix as well as 16 direct assignments through the main controls which enable real time patch design and editing. With three ADSR envelopes and two LFOs paired to each voice, you can expect a much more fluid and comprehensive transition between primary and secondary assignments, with each option only several clicks away from the prime screen. With such a focus on an ergonomic workflow, Peak finds itself ideally suited for life in the studio allowing for a much more involved and productive operation that doesn't detract from your train of thought in an all too often high-pressure environment.
Able to be connected via a modular system and CV modulation input, Peak expresses versatile by its very nature, Inviting use from a range of different applications including both Mac and PC. With a MIDI I/O and on five-pin DIN ports, Peak can also graciously accommodate a whole host of MIDI gear, making it a welcome addition to a variety of musical environments.
