Noisettes to perform intimate gig
Posted on 11 Aug 2010 07:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Noisettes are to perform a warm-up gig in London ahead of their vinspired Lake of Stars festival performance.
The British band - who are headlining at the festival in Malawi in October - are waiving their fee for the gig at London's Union Chapel venue in the hope of raising money for the event, which aims to promote arts and tourism in the African country.
Will Jameson, founder of the festival, said: "On August 12 vinspired Lake of Stars host our biggest ever live UK show with our 2010 festival headliners Noisettes and Tinashe volunteering their time and playing for free.
"This is the warm up show before we head out to Malawi in October and will be a very special fundraiser, set within the stunning Union Chapel venue and organised by our team of volunteers."
Noisettes frontwoman Shingai Shoniwa recently revealed the group were disappointed to miss out on celebrating their hit 'Don't Upset The Rhythm (Go Baby Go)' reaching number two in the UK singles chart, as they were out of the country at the time.
She said: "We were touring in Europe and the US, so we didn't get to experience what it was like to have a number two hit. I just had to say to my mum, 'Keep some clippings and put them in a scrapbook.' "
