Noel Gallagher sticks to the hits at charity gig
Posted on 27 Mar 2010 09:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Electric guitar player Noel Gallagher stuck to familiar Oasis songs at his first solo gig since leaving the group last year.
He was playing the first of two shows at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust and declined to play any new material during his performance.
Gallagher was joined on stage by two former Oasis contributors, guitarist Gem Archer and keyboard player Jay Darlington, as well as the Crouch End Choir, reports NME.
As well as a few B-sides from the early days of Oasis, Gallagher played hits such as Slide Away, Don't Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall and Whatever.
"It's been a pleasure to play for you tonight," the electric guitar player told the crowd at the end of the show. "We'll meet again."
Earlier this week, Them Crooked Vultures and Suede played the same venue in aid of the charity, while the next few days is set to see performances at the Royal Albert Hall from Arctic Monkeys, JLS, The Specials and The Who.
