Noel Gallagher regrets making Be Here Now so long
Posted on 3 Jun 2010 13:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Former Oasis songwriter and electric guitar player Noel Gallagher has said the band's Be Here Now album should have been shorter.
The album was released at the height of the band's fame in 1997 and was the follow-up to the highly-regarded (What's The Story) Morning Glory?
However, the record was critically panned by many, partly because of the number of tracks clocking in at more than seven minutes, such as D'You Know What I Mean and Magic Pie.
Gallagher has now admitted that the record, which also includes the nine-minute opus All Around The World, was too long.
"I wish I'd have exercised a bit more quality control on that and edited the songs down," he told NME.
He added that he had been asked to make some of the tracks shorter, but he ignored these suggestions.
Oasis split last year following a fall-out between Noel and his brother Liam Gallagher.
Liam has now started a new band called Beady Eye with former Oasis bandmates Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock.
