Noel Gallagher felt 'bus' attack
Posted on 24 Mar 2010 10:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Noel Gallagher thought he'd been "hit by a bus" when a fan attacked him on stage.
Danny Sullivan - who broke three of the ex-Oasis guitarist's ribs when he assaulted him during a performance at the Virgin Music Festival on Toronto Island in 2008 - was due be sentenced yesterday (23.03.10) but the decision was postponed because judge Richard Schneider was sick.
In a victim statement read out in the Toronto court, Noel said: "I would describe the sudden impact and shock as feeling as if I had been hit by a bus."
The attacker previously pleaded guilty to the assault in September 2008, when he pushed past security onto the stage and ran at the musician.
Noel - who fell on top of some speakers - managed to complete the band's set which lasted another 20 minutes, despite his injuries.
The British star claimed it had taken him around eight months to recover, and forced the band to cancel five tour dates and miss a number of TV opportunities.
The victim statement added: "I have been told that I will never really recover from the damage to my ribs. From time to time I still feel painful twinges. The promotional work in connection with the launch of the new album was very important to its success and early sales momentum. This opportunity was lost."
The case has now been adjourned until April 21.
Prosecutors are seeking a sentence of six to eight months in jail.
