Noel Gallagher: Fans shouldn't hold their breath for solo album
Noel Gallagher has denied he has been in the studio working on his hotly-anticipated solo album.
Speaking to TalkSPORT, the electric guitar player and former Oasis star said full recording sessions for the project had not got underway.
"I'd have thought probably if anything comes out it'll be later rather than sooner," he stated in comments reported by NME.
His remarks come despite solo star Miles Kane recently revealing he had been in the studio with Gallagher, playing the guitar for one of his new tracks.
However, Noel said he has not even begun the recording of the album "just yet".
Oasis split up in an acrimonious fashion following repeated arguments between Gallagher and his brother Liam, who has gone on to form new band Beady Eye.
The group were recently announced as one of the headline acts for a run of gigs that will take place at the Royal Albert Hall next month.
A series of concerts are being held at the famous venue in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, with the acts announced so far including Biffy Clyro, Tinie Tempah, Editors, Squeeze and The Feeling, while a solo show from Who star Roger Daltrey is also planned.
