Nirvana bassist records track with Foo Fighters
Krist Novoselic, the bass guitar player in Nirvana, has teamed up with the band's former drummer Dave Grohl once again to record a track for the new Foo Fighters album.
Grohl revealed that Novoselic is just one of the special guests to have made an appearance on the forthcoming record, with Husker Du's Bob Mould helping out on a track entitled Dear Rosemary.
Butch Vig, the man who produced Nirvana's smash hit Nevermind, is also working with Grohl for the first time in two decades.
"The last month and a half we've been in my garage recording totally old school analogue with Butch Vig," the Foo Fighters frontman told BBC Radio 1.
"This whole project has been really cool because I haven't made a record with Butch in 20 years."
Earlier this week, Foo Fighters announced they will be playing two dates at the Milton Keynes Bowl in July 2011.
