Nick Mason: Pink Floyd could reunite
The musician who played the drums for Pink Floyd has suggested the group could get back together to perform charity gigs.
Nick Mason revealed that he would like to do more shows for charitable causes in the future and claimed his bandmates could be up for doing such concerts as well.
"We could do something that's not necessarily for us, but do something for the right reasons and enjoy doing it," he was quoted as saying.
Mason explained that Pink Floyd could well do more shows in the vein of Live 8, in which fellow musicians Roger Waters and David Gilmour reunited after falling out with each other in the 1980s.
In his opinion, Waters and Gilmour may see "eye to eye" regarding the possibility of doing more charity events.
After Live 8, Guardian journalist Alexis Petridis described how the group's performance exceeded expectations, with the band sounding "fantastic" and achieving real warmth in their sound.
