New guitar and music festival set to be biggest in Scotland
The three-day festival will run at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange from May 25 to 27, and will feature up to 60 performances along with two competitions for young musicians.
Confirmed acts include the internationally acclaimed German guitarist Peter Finger, whose glittering career stretches back to seventies, and has included tours of Europe, North and South America, and Asia.
The festival is the idea of Edinburgh guitarists Ged Brockie and Adam Dzierzek, who felt there was a need to create a focal point for the Scottish music industry, in light of the decreasing level of musicians at festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe.
And Mr Brockie believes that the latest edition to Edinburgh's festival line-up will be a success.
He told The Scotsman: “Edinburgh is world-famous for its festivals and I'm sure this latest addition will bring yet another dimension to the city's packed events calendar."
As well as live music, the festival will also host a number of tuition sessions, offering amateur musicians the chance to learn skills and tips from professional musicians.
