New coffee table book celebrates the guitar
The epic visual compendium, which comes in three editions, has won the heart of the famous guitarist, a musician renowned for his skills on the instrument.
"The single most sumptuous source of guitar glamour to have ever been conceived," he said.
"It's an overwhelming compendium, so dazzling in its scope that you might have to lie down after paging through it."
Produced by Epic Ink, the oversized book is a sumptuous visual feast of imagery that focuses on some of the most iconic guitars over the years.
Some of the guitars featured include a Fender Esquire that was played by Jeff Beck, an Epiphone Casino strummed by Howlin' Wolf and a number of Gibson Les Paul Standards.
“It's a story with diverse 'plot lines,' from carved tops to metal resonators to solid bodies, and a cast of interesting characters ranging from C.F. Martin to Slash, from Stradivari to Ramone," Epic Ink stated.
"They tell the story of the modern guitar—of the instrument's beauty, craftsmanship, innovation, and cultural significance—in a way that transcends the page."
