Owners of a Line 6 Midi Mobilizer will be able to take advantage of a dozen new applications that have been released for the device.

Among the services on offer to users are the NanoStudio, which is a full-featured virtual recording studio, and the PianistPro, an 88-key virtual piano designed for the iPad, reports MI-Pro.

The NLog Synth Pro has also been developed for Line 6 Midi Mobilizer users, with this application offering 192 factory sounds and a number of powerful synthesizer features.

Chris Grigg, mobile products manager at Line 6, said: "Developers are doing an amazing job of harnessing the power of the Apple devices and turning them into serious music-making Midi machines - all made possible by Midi Mobilizer."

The piece of music software was unveiled earlier this year at the Musikmesse 2010 and acts as the only Midi interface which can work on the iPhone and iPod touch.
