New Fender Telecaster praised by Jim Campilongo

A custom-made Fender Telecasterguitar has been praised by American musician Jim Campilongo.
Campilongo, who has recently celebrated his fifth anniversary of a residency at the Living Room club in New York, stated that his previous guitar – a well-travelled 1959 Fender Telecaster - was starting to show signs of its age.
He explained to Time Out New York that he was delighted Fender proposed that he come up with the design for a special edition guitar bearing his name.
"I get this new guitar and it's like taking sandbags off your ankles and being able to run," Campilongo stated.
However, he has had to return to his old guitar for the time being as the custom-made instrument has been returned to Fender for fine-tuning.
"I've been working on it for a year and a half," he stated, adding that he was looking forward to playing the new guitar on a regular basis.
Famous musicians who have also used Fender Telecasters include George Harrison, Bruce Springsteen and Jimmy Page.
