Native Instruments announce Traktor Kontrol X1 controller
Native Instruments, manufacturers of leading DJ software Traktor and Traktor Scratch Pro, have released information about a new DJ controller.
The Traktor Kontrol X1 is the first official Traktor control, but is for use with any DJ software including DVS timecode.
Native Instruments have designed the X1 for bi-directional communication with Traktor, via a high resolution protocol giving a smoother and more precise feel than conventional controllers.
With backlit LEDs the Kontrol X1 offers easy access to distinct transport, browse, loop and effects sections, with eight knobs and eight buttons on hand.
Two X1 units can be used simultaneously to provide control for up to four decks and four FX units.
Kontrol X1 ships with two pieces of software, Traktor LE for DJs and Kore Player and Kore Instrument with 600MB of production ready sounds.
The details come following last months release of a video featuring international DJ Richie Hawtin using the device.
