Native Instruments Unveil Stem Creator
The app available for both Windows and Mac (and can be downloaded here), is an open format that allows the user to perform, create and distribute Stem files.
Stems allows audio to be split into four different sections with; drums, bass, synths and vocals being the standard use in Stems-ready products like the Traktor Kontrol S8, D2, F1 and the forthcoming S5.
You must have the separate audio tracks to begin with but this will allow those using compatible Traktor devices to be more creative with the audio.
