Native Instrument's Second Generation Maschine Reveals Its Secrets
The announcement revealed that NI's Massive synth, with 1300 sounds to experiment with, will be included with the Maschine MKII.
Even more revolutionary than its predecessor, the MKII has an improved workflow which makes it faster and the extra intuitivism is controlled by an even more touch-sensitive multi-colour pad.
Although the 1.8 version software has not seen much in the way of additions, we are provided with new Transient Master, Tape and Tube Saturator effects as well as timestretch and pitchshifting abilities, all watched over on an improved high-contrast display.
Maschine users will see familiar standard features such as the browser, extensive MIDI-mapping ability and options to utilise step-sequencing and realtime recording with an extra 1GB of ready-to-use sounds becoming available on the MKII.
The dedicated controllers which combine high-quality pads, click-buttons and rotary encoders will be fully-customisable with optional Maschine Custom Kits, and it has been disclosed that both the Maschine and the Maschine Mikro will be available in different colours.
Native Instrument's new Maschine is due to launch on October 1st 2012.
