Focusrite have introduced two brand new additions to their OctoPre range- The Scarlett OctoPre and Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic. Brand new for this year’s NAMM, this innovative pair afford the user unprecedented input expansion, making it ideal for those who are looking to record an entire drum kit or numerous musicians.

The Scarlett OctoPre is the definitive answer to those looking to expand upon any Scarlett or other existing digital interface; providing eight extra channels worth of simultaneous recording channels and heaps of creative advantages.

With integrated ADAT inputs you can now expand your studio with eight 2nd generation Scarlett mic preamps. An easy way to increase the number of concurrent recording channels available within your studio, ADAT gives you the opportunity to define your sound more than ever before. The OctoPre is able to provide A-D conversion at sample rates up to 192 kHz making it as slick as it is practical.

The OctoPre is able to be used within a live environment thanks to its eight balanced line outputs which are sourced directly from its respective mic preamps. Perfect for those who wish to record multiple musicians in one fell swoop, the OctoPre makes laborious recording sessions a thing of the past. The added practicality of having more inputs means that you are free to indulge in a simultaneous recording experience that effectively simulates the feel and energy of a live performance.

The Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic builds even further upon the foundations of the Scarlett OctoPre, providing analogue compression to all of its input channels and eight channels of precise D-A conversion. Perfect for expanding any top of the range high quality recording  system, it acts as the quintessential tool for tracking drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals all at the same time!

With its high-headroom mic, line and dual instrument inputs, the user can expect ultimate versatility and multipurpose implementation.  Its eight outputs let you expand your analogue outputs over and above the Scarlett OctoPre, making it this years must have addition to your studio.
