NAMM 2016: Teenage Engineering Release Info On The OP-Z Synth
At its heart, the OP-Z, which has been dubbed 'the little monster', is a a 16-step sequencer powered by an engine similar to that of the OP-1 but with a few refinements, including effects.
The synth tracks comprise of: drums, bass synth, arpeggiator, chord synth, four effects and four external tracks.
No screen is present on the OP-Z, however, LEDs illuminate the controls you have selected to help visualise your performance. External devices such as iPads, tablets and iOS devices can be connected via an app to display your performance.
The product is still in development and Teenage Engineering has confirmed that more information will be available later in 2016.
