NAMM 2016: Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2 and DJM-900NXS2 Flagship products announced
The new models defined by Pioneer as 'Refined, remastered and reborn' have a wealth of new features, which helps them stand out at the forefront of DJ equipment from their previous incarnations and will be available from February 2016.
The CDJ-2000NXS2 deck now comes with a full-colour touch screen to be enable quicker browsing and the ability to be more creative with your works by seeing the waveform up in front of you. You can even search for tracks by name with a Qwerty keyboard.
Additionally, the 96 kHz/24-bit sound card and FLAC/ Audio (ALAC) support is designed to provide the best possible high-res sound without losing quality. The 8 colour-coded hot cues also allows you to have more choice and control over your mix and with a fractional beat quantize option, this enables the user to choose a variety of tempos to produce clinical beats in time.
This builds nicely on from previous versions of the CDJ-2000NXS2, which had already encompassed beat sync and hot cue auto loads - tools essential for the modern DJ.
The DJM-900NXS2 mixer also boasts a 64-bit mixing processor to match up to the CDJ's impressive, warm anolog sound quality, improved analog input along with a GND terminal so that ground wires from analog turntables can easily be connected.
Furthermore, the DJM900NXS2 features an independent Send/Return FX loop allowing for greater creative fx possibilities along with 14 Beat effects including; Ping Pong, improved Reverb and a larger X-Pad. The sound colour section enables refined control with a parameter knob for each effect.
The variety of connections from the two usb ports, 4 phono inputs and DVS support make this perfect to control from your audio source. External controllers as well as iPads can be connected to layer even more sounds!
