NAMM 2016: Fender Introduce American Elite Series Stratocasters and Telecaster Guitars

It's official - Fender has launched the all-new American Elite Stratocaster and Telecaster guitars.

Some of the most striking finishes on the American Elite models include the Sky Burst Metallic Stratocaster, the American Elite Thinline Telecaster in Natural and the Mystic Ice Blue American Elite Thinline Telecaster respectively.

The elite range takes over where the iconic American Deluxe models left off, offering a compound modern C shape at the nut which morphs along the length of the neck to a modern D-shaped profile at the updated neck heel, providing plenty of comfortable support for fret hand antics.

Fender Elite instruments also boast a new cutaway neck heel design for greater fret access and and all new deluxe noiseless pick ups for pure Fender tone without the hum. American Elite guitars will also come with a new hard case for elegant presenation.

There are two versions of the Stratocaster the American Elite Stratocaster and the American Elite Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker. Principally the main difference between the two is the pickup choice - the Shawbucker offering snarling mid-range creates pristine cleans and gigantic overdriven tones for multidimensional classic Stratocaster sound turned up to 11.

The single coils, however, still offer up pristine cleans and fat, overdriven tones that scream with pure rock 'n' roll power.

The American Elite Telecaster comes in two different versions, the iconic American Elite Telecaster - a style which has epitomised electric guitars since the 1950s. The other available version is the American Elite Thinline Telecaster, which embraces innovation in a slender-bodied design.

Each American Elite model comes with a hard case as standard.
