NAMM 2016: Fender Announce New Amplifier Line
The all-tube Bassbreaker amplifier range take the classic Fender sound but add a twist, which is packed with endless grit and growl. The amps also also take on a Gray Tweed finish with a black grille.
The teaser video for the new amplifiers featured everyone from Dave Navarro from Jane's Addiction, Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro to Mark Hoppus and Matt Skiba of Blink 182 who all waxed lyrical about the sonic qualities of the Bassbreaker series.
The series includes the Bassbreaker 007, which is described as 'a bit of a monster' by Fender themselves. Other models range from practice amps in the form of the Bassbreaker 15 to the sonic powerhouse of the Bassbreaker 45 so that every application from rehearsal to the stage is accounted for.
All the amps in the series are available in both head and combo versions and use a combination of EL34 power tubes and 12AX7 preamp tubes to deliver the Bassbreaker's definitive tone. 1x12 and 2x12 are also available. More information about the range is due in 2016.
