NAMM 2016: Electro Harmonix Bass Preacher Compressor and Sustainer Pedal
It is the third pedal launched this month by New York-based pedal specialist ahead of NAMM 2016.
Ideal for both active and passive basses, the Bass Preacher has an input sensitivity ranging from -10 dBu to 2 dBu. There are three selectable settings from fast, medium and slow, each delivering unique compression to a variety of bass styles.
Fast mode provides an intensively squashed sound, whilst the slow mode allows initial transients to come through and the medium is a compromoise between both depending on your application and compression requirements.
The Bass Preacher produces a maximum gain reduction of -21 dB and its Volume control lets the user adjust the amount of makeup gain to cut, match or boost the outgoing signal in relation to the incoming one.
