NAMM 2015: Rode Unveil Filmmaker Kit, NTG4 and NTG4+
The RodeLink Wireless System provides everything you need to start shooting video wirelessly, including a receiver, transmitter and broadcast-grade lavalier microphone.
The Filmmaker kit offers the best signal-to-noise and range in its class and provides a high-resolution 24-bit 44.1 kHz digital transmission offering lossless audio at a range of up to 100m.
Ensure your audio is as reliable and secure as a cabled connection with the RodeLink Filmmaker kit when it automatically selects the strongest signal using a series II 2.5GHz encrypted digital transmission that is sent on two channels simultaneously.
The unit can be mounted on a standard camera shoe mount, 3/8" thread or belt-clip, and for added versatility the shoe mount can be located in one of two positions. The lightweight transmitter (TX-BELT) can be fitted to a belt or clothing and features a locking thread to ensure the microphone connection is as secure as possible.
Rode’s omnidirectional Lavalier microphone is included in the kit to provide the highest possible audio reproduction quality.
Also new for NAMM 2015 are the NTG4 and NTG4+ shotgun microphones. The Rode NTG4 builds on the platform created by Rode's award-winning NTG1 shotgun microphone, and the NTG4+ comes equipped with an internal rechargeable lithium battery, a world first for a professional shotgun microphone. Providing up to 150 hours operating time, the battery is conveniently charged via any USB power source using the supplied MicroUSB cable.
Both of these shotgun microphones offer cleaner audio at the source due to the lower noise and higher sensitivity. They can be mounted on-camera, feature a ½” diaphragm and are housed in a rugged metal chassis.
