NAMM 2014: A Beginner's Guide
What is The NAMM Show?
NAMM stands for the National Association of Music Merchants, it's an organisation that supports the global music-making industry. The NAMM Show is a trade show which promotes new products and technology. Winter NAMM takes place every January in Anaheim, California and you can follow the events on our dedicated NAMM page.
Why is everyone talking about it?
It's one of the biggest trade shows in the industry, featuring exhibitors from all over the world, showing off all types of instruments and giving attendees hands-on experience with the latest trends and technology in musical equipment.
Who will be there?
Over 5,000 brands are represented at the show from small, boutique and custom startups to the big players. 1,500 exhibitors attract around 95,000 visitors from the musical instrument industry over four days each year by promising new product launches, demos, shows and signings by top artists.
What does that mean for me as a customer?
It's at NAMM where our product specialists select the newest gear from your favourite brands and check out what the emerging manufacturers you might not have heard of yet have to offer. We'll be getting video footage of demonstrations by the experts and bringing you the most up-to-date news as it happens, keeping you on trend and equipped to make the best music you can. It's hard work, but someone's got to do it!
How can I find out more?
The NAMM Show 2014 happens from Thursday 23rd January to Sunday 26th, so keep your eyes on our news channel, Facebook and Twitter as we bring you up-to-date news directly from the show. You can also find out more on the official NAMM Show website.
