NAMM 2013: Zoom Launches Another Revolutionary Acoustic Pedal

Zoom's New A3 Pedal Launched at NAMM 2013
NAMM 2013 Zoom Launch A3 Acoustic Pedal
The Zoom A3 is designed as the next evolutionary step onwards from the A2 multi-effect pedal. This new effects unit will allow players to choose from 16 guitar body types enabling them to re-create the signature sounds of differing body shapes, from the Dreadnought body right through to the Orchestral body.

The A3 also gives player's the ability to recreate the distinctive sounds and characteristics of 28 of the world's most famous acoustic guitars.

A key addition to the A3 from Zoom is the Anti Feedback footswitch, that detects the frequencies causing feedback and applies a filter to that frequency band. If feedback persists, perhaps due to another frequency, just hitting the footswitch again, will allow the Anti Feedback function to kick in again, this can be done three times with problematic frequency ranges.

The A3 will also offer 40 acoustic guitar effects ranging from with chorus, delay, reverb, compressors and much more including detuning effects that wil re-create the sound of 12-string guitars and much more. Acoustic musician's will also be able to simultaneously use two effects in whatever order you like.

The A3's pre-amp has specifically designed for use with acoustic guitars. The A3 can be used with piezoelectric, magnetic and passive pickups. In addition, the pedal is loaded with an XLR-1/4-inch combination Mic input, which can provide phantom power allowing you to connect a microphone and mix its signal. The A3's pre-amp also has a 3-band EQ for adjusting your guitar tone to your playing environment.

Loaded with features as one would come to expect from a Zoom pedal, this unit could revolutionize Acoustic Guitar playing offering all these features and more in a light and easily transportable pedal that can be used in nearly any playing environment.
