NAMM 2013: TC-Helicon's Project with Sennheiser Revealed (Updated with NAMM video!)
Back at NAMM 2011, TC-Helicon and Sennheiser started a joint research project with the aim of creating a product that will make a real difference to vocalists.
The result is the Sennheiser e 835 fx microphone, a version of their most popular cardioid dynamic vocal mic. Use it with the VoiceLive Play pedals and the Mic Control buttons allow you to switch presets or toggle the effects buttons whilst roaming the stage.
Now bundled with the e 825 fx microphone, the VoiceLive Play pedals bring you professional quality vocals at home, a wide range of effects and even the ability to plug in your mp3 player and sing along with Centre Cancel function.
The VoiceLive Play GTX adds award-winning TC Electronic guitar effects to the vocal pedal with no need for an amp, giving singing guitarists the ultimate combo.
The partnership of the world's only pro-audio company focused on the needs of vocalists and one of the leading mic technology brands is good news for vocalists, as it means more focus on performance and less on setting up effects.
Michael Polten, a Director at Sennheiser, said "TC-Helicon's mission is to give singers full control and Sennheiser's aim is to provide excellent microphones - so our brands were a perfect fit".
TC-Helicon have also launched the VoiceLive Touch 2 with ultra-responsive touch controls and 300 customisable effects. Their latest vocal designer and looper is an effects unit as unique as your voice is and will be showing at NAMM 2013.
