NAMM 2013: New Pigtronix Pedals Introduced
The new pedals follow in the breakout success of the previous Pigtronix analog pedals, embraced by prominent players such as Bakithi Kumalo, Billy Sheehan and Norwood Fisher.
The affordable Bass Envelope Phaser, Philosopher Bass Compressor and Bass FAT Drive have been fine-tuned using pro-musician input and years of customer feedback.
Featuring a no-nonsense design, the Bass Envelope Phaser includes the Pigtronix staccato envelope circuit, which atuo closes the envelope between notes for un-matched performance. Combine with high-speed finger and slap techniques and the Bass Envelope Phaser is gauranteed to blow up the dance floor.
The Philosopher Bass Compressor finally brings the heralded Philosopher's Tone compressor circuit to bassists. With infinite clean sustain, a blend knob for preserving natural string attack and a harmonic distortion, never befor has so much bass-friendly compression been squeezed into such a small package.
Completing the new line up coming soon to a pedal board near you is the Bass FAT Drive, manipulating the Pigtronix CMOS clipping concept to create a sound that's larger than life. The extra wide range of touch-sensitive gain appears courtesy of the 'MORE' switch, with a sound that breaks up depending on how hard you hit the strings.
The Quantum Time Modulator Pedal produces a parallel universe of analog time-stretching effects with only three knobs and a single switch, going well beyond the event horizon of existing modulation pedals.
The hand-made pedals pack a huge low-end wallop into a tiny footprint, with the Quantum Time Modulator providing numerous sound field configurations. All will be showcased at the NAMM Show later this month.
