Roland & Fender bring you the V-Guitar!
Roland V-Guitars announced at NAMM 2012 fusing Fender design with Roland technology. A long quest for the next generation of electric guitar has brought together two manufacturing giants Fender and Roland in to a collaboration to produce the V-Guitar. Since pioneering the GR-500 guitar synth in 1977, Roland have been at the forefront of guitar electronics and with the introduction of the V-Guitar Roland hope to write a chapter in to the history of the electric guitar. Since debuting it's COSM technology in the pioneering VG-8 guitar modelling system, Roland have now introduced the G-5 V-Guitar equipping the coveted Fender Stratocaster with the advanced features realised by COSM technology. Not only offering classic Stratocaster sounds and functionality the G-5 also offers COSM electric and acoustic guitar tone as well as instantly accessible alternate tuning and 12-string sounds. From single coil, full and bold tone to ultra wide humbucking tone, the G-5 offers a built in library of modelled pick-up tones all thanks to Rolands pioneering COSM technology and available in Black and 3-tone Sunburst colours. In addition to the G-5 Roland have also announced the release of the GC-1 V-Guitar at NAMM 2012, equipped to drive the GR-55 and VG-99 foot controllers along with any other 13-pin compatible gear. Again using COSM technology embedded in the authentic Fender Stratocaster body the G-5 provides futuristic functionality as well as Fender Stratocaster sound and feel and is available in Black and 3-tone Sunburst colours.
