NAMM 2012: Blue Microphones Tiki USB Microphone Announced
Blue Microphones Tiki USB Microphone just announced in time for NAMM 2012 is compact and built for portability. The Tiki is the world's first USB microphone that hones in on desired sounds, minimising background noise, in the same way as human hearing. Using noise-cancelling technology, voice isolation and intelligent mute, Tiki is the prefect mic for recording on the move in any environment. Switching between Intelligent Speech Mode and Natural Recording Mode allows a move to CD-quality recording of vocals and instruments. The size of the Tiki is so diminutive that it is similar to a USB Flash Drive, plugging directly in to a USB port. Brian Biggot, CTO of Blue Microphones stated, "designed to mimic human hearing, Tiki brings the conversation into focus and attenuates distracting background noise, like the human ear does naturally in conversations." For those looking to make conference calls or us Skype, Voice Isolation brings your speech to the forefront while minimising unwanted noise. Based on the position of the mic, Tiki uses front and back facing microphones to capture high quality audio, which is muted as soon as speech is stopped. Based on custom condenser capsules and professional quality preamp circuitry, Tiki records in high fidelity, providing a full and rich sound. Tiki requires no drivers and is plug in and play with both PC and Mac. Posted on 9 Jan 2012 14:11 to category : Instruments News
