NAMM 2011: Pearl Announces New Percussion Instruments
Renowned drums and percussion manufacturer have released details of a new drum and bell kit bein released in as well as an innovative Maracabasa.
Pearl's New PL900C Percussion Learning Center is a combination drum and bell kit for 2011, featuring a Poplar Shell drum that has a warmer sound than metal shell drums.
Also includes a compact snare drum '13x3.5' for easy playing and transport, finished a concert black wrap.
Pearl Ed kit cases have been updated with reinforced padding, reinforced and added handles, added pockets, and the most compact size possible making them the easiest kits for children.
In addition Pearl has announced the Maracabasa, a new innovative percussion accessory from Pearl Percussion, combining the functionality of a maraca and the cabasa in one hand-held instrument.
It features a ribbed plastic body wrapped in shekere-style beads allowing you to shake as Maracas or twist as a Cabasa.
