N-Dubz Dappy: I prefer fishing to flash cars
N-Dubz’star Dappy has revealed that he once spent a whopping £8,000 on not very rock and roll fishing gear.
The pint-sized pugnacious singer told Total Carp that he got more of a rush out of fishing and purchasing products related to the sport than spending money on flash cars and gargantuan cribs.
Dappy told the fishing magazine that catching a carp gave him a proper high that nothing else could emulate.
The hat-wearing musician said: "People who haven't been carp fishing simply don't know what they are missing out on. I once spent eight grand in a tackle shop."
He added that he was looking to really invest in his newfound hobby by find a place to live where he could spend all day fishing.
"Fazer and I have looked into buying a lake in France. And I don't want to give too much away but there are plans for a TV show," he added.
N’Dubz are currently taking a break after their massive rise to the top of the charts, which has seen the band relentlessly promoting and performing to fans all across the world.
His other bandmate Tulisa Contostavlos is busy with her new role as an X Factor judge.
Known for being highly opinionated, it is believed she will bring some fiery sparkle back to the popular music talent show.
