Musikmesse 2016: Yamaha Introduce YEV Series of Electric Violins
Its Möbius strip-like shape provides continuity between front and back whilst its three-dimensional form is designed to captivate the audience during performances.
The innovative use of wood allows players to benefit from the natural resonance, giving an unrivalled electric violin playing experience.
Available in 4 and 5 string versions, the body is made from carefully selected Maple with Mahogany and Spruce in a 5-layer construction which results in an excellent response and natural overall sound.
Finished in both natural and black, the 5-layer oil-finished walnut frame offers the ideal blend of flexibility and strength in a deisgn that is gorgeous to look at and adds to the instruments natural musical resonance.
The Yamaha YEV series violins deliver full sonic potential of the instrument with rich lows and punchy impact, with a high-output passive bridge pickup that picks up the sound of the entire instrument whilst capturing its response and expressive bowing nuances.
