Musikmesse 2016: DigiTech Reveal Whammy Ricochet Pedal

DigiTech has introduced a compact version of their infamous Whammy pedal in the shape of the Whammy Ricochet.

The Whammy sound, which is famously utilized by the likes of Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave, has been a revelation in pitchshifting guitar sounds. And now the Whammy Ricochet offers a new ingenious way to achieve these sounds whilst also freeing up more real estate on your pedalboard.

As well as harnessing this unique Whammy sound, the Ricochet bends the pitch of the note determined by the shift and return controls on the pedal.

The Whammy Ricochet offers seven pitch selections: 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, Octave, Double Octave, and Octave Dry, as well as a toggle to select up or down for the selected pitch. The Whammy Ricochet also has a latching footswitch mode so the tone can rise or fall to the selected pitch and stay there. An LED ladder shows the shift trajectory at all times.

This means that all your favourite Whammy sounds from subtle country bends to polyphonic chordal dive-bombs can be achieved along with a plethora of other new sounds, which were never previously possible from it's siblings.
