Musikmesse 2014: BOSS and Roland Launch New Guitar Gear
Roland's new CUBE Street EX provides high-quality sound for performers on the go, improving on the already popular Cube Street with more projection, channels and versatility.
Keeping it's battery-powered charm, the Cube Street EX is just as mobile, offering up to 20 hours operation. i-CUBE Link technology means you can plug in your iPhone or iPad to play backing music or record your set, and you can even link two Street Cube EX amps together for more sound coverage!
With a GK-compatible pickup on your guitar, the new BOSS GP-10S Guitar Processor gives you instant access to tones and tunings, using Roland's COSM technology to bring you organic, responsive amp tones. Available as a free download, BOSS Tone Studio allows you to edit and organise your GP-10 patches. It's also available as the GP-10GK, which includes a GK-3 pickup and cable.
The GT-001 Guitar Effects Processor is a premium amps and effects unit from BOSS, in a desktop-friendly chassis. With pro-level sound for recording and jamming, you can also use the GT-001 as a powerful tool for DAW music production.
The VE-2 Vocal Harmonist Stompbox delivers a complete effects solution for all singers, particularly those who perform with a guitar. Beautifully harmonised vocals follow your singing and the pitch automatically tracks the chords you play on your connected guitar. The VE-2 also features a USB audio function that allows you to connect to your conputer to share your captured vocals.
An extra from BOSS is an update to the firmware for the GT-100, which includes new amps models, MDP effects and guitar-to-MIDI.
