Musikmesse 2013 proves a big success
Despite a somewhat slow start on the opening day (April 10th), the exhibition being held in Frankfurt, Germany saw an increase in visitors from the previous year, whetting the appetite already for 2014's offering.
The German show saw 113,000 people from 142 countries pass through the doors, take in all the exhibits and browse all the very latest products from some of the very best manufacturers in the industry.
This marked a significant improvement from the 109,481 that came in 2012 and this year attracted people from as far as Italy, Belgium, Austria and Russia.
A whole host of major companies were in attendance with the likes of Fender introducing the Cabronita models while Boss and Novation also released a host of new products.
Detlef Braun, managing director of Messe Frankfurt, said: "With 113,000, the visitor numbers not only exceeded last year's results by three per cent, but it also surpasses the all-time record high from 2009 (112,478 visitors). This is a fantastic result for these two innovative and very market-active industry sectors at their leading shows here in Frankfurt am Main."
