Musikmesse 2013: Genelec Go Green with Intelligent Power Management Technology
Highly energy-efficient, the M-Series M030 and M040 2-Way Active Monitors take a fresh approach to monitor design. Genelec have looked to continue their green mindset without compromising on great sound.
Individually tested and calibrated according to Genelec's strict standards, the efficient, low distortion class D amplifiers operate cooler and lighter than class A and B amps. Intelligent power management with auto power-off and auto-power on means that minimal energy is wasted when the speakers are left idle.
Lars-Olof Janflod, PR and Marketing Director at Genelec says they have given serious thought to how they can participate in a sustainability philosophy, saying "Genelec is known for sound quality, and we are in a unique position to set new standards in the audio industry with regard to power consumption." Genelec have announced they will be updating their existing product line with intelligent power management in the near future.
Both the M030 and M040 2-way active monitors are made from a Natural Composite Enclosure, made from wood fibre and recyclable. Even the packaging for the speakers is fully recyclable.
