Musikmesse 2013: Fender Unveil New Guitars at Musikmesse
The Fender Classic Series, a more affordable take on the American Vintage series, features models built with period-correct specs from the '50s, '60s and '70s.
New additions to the Classic Series include '50s Telecaster and Precision Bass Lacquer models, a '50s and '60s Stratocaster Lacquer and a '60s Jazz Bass Lacquer, all with authentic nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
The Classic Player Series gets additions in the form of a Telecaster Thinline, available in White Blonde, 2-Color Sunburst and Shoreline Gold with really nice 'f'-hole detail and dual Fideli'Tron humbuckers.
Also new to the series is the Cabronita Precision Bass features single Fideli'Tron humbucking bass pickups and is available in Black and Candy Apple Red with contrasting white fingerboards, as well as 2-Color Sunburst with black fingerboards.
The Classic Player Series is known combining classic design elements with modern improvements. Players will notice a comfortable fingerboard radius, vintage-style neck profile and a wealth of pickup options across the series.
Fender's Standard guitars are time-honoured classics that won't break the bank. Solidly reliable, they're great workhorse instruments. However, this doesn't mean that can't look great and include contemporary features.
Four versions of the Standard Stratocaster have been released - the Plus Top, which is also available in a left-handed version, a HHS Plus Top and Plus Top with Locking Tremolo. All these models feature a flamed maple top and a rosewood fingerboard with the Tobacco Sunburst finish or maple fingerboard with Aged Cherry Burst finish.
