Musikmesse 2011: Yamaha Release New DTX500K, DTX520K and DTX540K Electronic Drum Kits
Yamaha expand on their popular DTX series launching 3 new electronic drum kits at Musikmesse, DTX500K, DTX520K and DTX540K all featuring the DTX 500 Module.
The DTX500 module has 427 drum, percussion and effect sounds for any musical situation and offers comprehensive training functions including Groove Check, practice songs, and easy MIDI recording.
It is also a very capable MIDI controller for virtual drum instruments and is featured on the new DTX500K, DTX520K and DTX540K electronic drum kits.
The Yamaha DTX500K is the most cost effective kit on the market today with a diversity of great sounds, a realistic playing surface and quick triggering, together with fun learning tools and many play along features.
Featuring sounds sampled from real Yamaha Drum kits the DTX500K is designed to be the ultimate plug in and play drum kit which can be used by everyone, everywhere.
The DTX500K features built in practice tools to help you improve your playing and you can also play along to your favorite CDs or MP3 too, using the simple Auxiliary input.
The pads and module are mounted on to a sturdy rack which can be folded away for easy storage and is completed with a Yamaha bass drum pedal which is included.
DTX520K features the new DTX snare drum pad featuring Yamaha's "Textured Cellular Silicone Pad".
This DTX-PAD is 3-Zones which allows 3 separate area's of the playing surface with the Head and 2 Rim Zones.
The Cymbal pads are also 3-Zone for Bell, Bow and Edge of the cymbals to allow for total expression.
The DTX520K is mounted on a new RS500 rack which is designed for stability, comfort and flexibility.
With the powerful DTX500 sound module mounted to one side for easy accessibility and allowing space for individual customer set ups and expansion possibilities.
Utilising the TCS head for superior stick feel, the XP80 provides snare head, open rimshot, and closed rimshot voices in each of the three zones for authentic snare expression.
The ride and crash cymbals both feature cup, bow and edge voices and are 'choke-able'.
The realistic sounds of the DTX500 module lets you sound your best, and with the advanced practice tools and easy song recorder you will be getting better all the time.
The DTX540K is the most affordable DTX configuration to feature a full set of TCS pads "Textured Cellular Silicone" which offers unprecedented dynamic control, and feel for players with the additional benefit of very low noise level.
