Musikmesse 2011: Gibson to showcase Firebird X
The industry show is getting underway today (April 6th) in Frankfurt, with a host of exhibitors due to demonstrate their latest product ranges.
Gibson's stall is expected to be busy, with the central highlight being the the Firebird X, which the company has described as the "most technically advanced guitar ever".
Daily demonstrations will take place to allow attendees to try out the musical instrument first-hand.
"Gibson USA will also showcase other new models, including the affordable new SG Special 60s Tribute, the Anniversary Flood Les Paul Studio, the Les Paul and SG Gothic Morte guitars and the highly anticipated Melody Maker line," said a statement from the manufacturer.
Its range of collectable guitars will also be shown off, including the Alex Lifeson Les Paul Axcess, the Marc Bolan Les Paul and the Don Felder 'Hotel California' EDS-1275.
Another company gearing up for the opening of Musikmesse is Yamaha.
As well as demonstrating its new products, videos will be placed online to show people who cannot attend the conference in person what the manufacturer has come up with recently.
