Musikmesse 2011: ADAM Set to Release A77X Dual Speaker Monitor
Leading monitor manufacturer ADAM will release the A77X at Musikmesse - a twin speaker monitor.
The A77X features the same proprietary X-ART Tweeter found on all models in the AX series.
The X stands for "eXtended frequency response", meaning the monitors feature Accelerating Ribbon Technology which has extended the frequency response to 50kHz.
Twin 7" woofers are the same as those found in the A7, while the A77X also features 1.5" voice coils.
One woofer is responsible for sub-bass frequencies up to 400Hz, the other handles the midrange.
Each driver has its own amplifier - a 50W A/B amp for the X-ART tweeter, but there is a 100W PWM amp for each of the bass / midwoofers.
Classic to ADAM design, on the front panel are power switches and volume controls, with a separate volume setting independent of the on/off switch.
On the rear are additional controls - a gain for high frequencies and two shelf filters for high and low frequencies, as well as both XLR and RCA connectors.Posted on 1 Apr 2011 12:11 to category : Instruments News
