Musikmesse 2010: Yamaha Clavinova piano wins award

The Yamaha Clavinova CLP-380 digital piano has been honoured by readers of a European music magazine.
Readers of German publication Tastenwelt named the Yamaha Clavinova CLP-380 as the best home piano on the market in a recent vote.
An awards presentation took place at the Frankfurt Musikmesse over the weekend, with a rising star in the world of piano playing, Tiemo Hauer, on hand to give out the honour.
The prize-giving ceremony was a small part of a busy time for Yamaha at the industry event in Frankfurt.
As well as receiving recognition for the Clavinova CLP-380, the company demonstrated several new products in its range and hosted live performances from a variety of musicians.
The company rounded off the conference with a gig from Glenn Hughes, who was supported by Billy Sheehan on the bass guitar.
"Glenn Hughes' extraordinary voice and his powerful bass playing sounds like a jewel in today's rock music world," a company statement said after the performance.
